I started writing stories at school, largely influenced by P.G. Wodehouse. I remember my first story was about two men who found a treasure map in an old desk. Not very original, and in fact all the stories I submitted to publishers were rejected. Most of us have to learn the hard way.

I graduated as a Chemist and went on to become a teacher. I spent some time teaching at Prince Edward Island and Concordia in Montreal.

After all the rejections I had, I have now been successful in getting short stories in a number of magazines, which shows that if you stick to it, you can succeed.
