Stories from Barrow Magna
Happy End is a small Gloucester village set beneath Barrow Hill. The nearest town is Barrow Magna. In previous books in this series, ‘The Witch at Happy End’ and ‘More Witchery at Happy End’ we followed the adventures of Annabel, the wise woman of the village. In this book we find more stories about the inhabitants of Barrow Magna.
Beginning with two elderly ladies who go to Venice to learn how to paint a mural in the local church, the stories tell of village life, love and adventure.

Blog...
Everyone wants to tell you how to write the next best selling blockbuster but in truth only a few people reach those heights.
Becoming a best selling author is not just a matter of writing a story, in fact getting the story down on paper or screen is only the first step. For me the most important step is the editing. Once you have your first draft you can then change it by adding things, cutting things out until you are finally satisfied that it reads well.
You then need to consider how you are going to publish it. The traditional way is to get yourself a good agent who will find a publisher for you. However, more and more writers are following the self-publishing route.
You will find loads of advice on the web, Reedsy in particular has lots of free online courses on all aspects of writing. Other writers will offer free advice but you should bear in mind that everyone has their own method and what works for them may not work for you.
On this blog over time I will try to distill out some of the most important things you need to know but even then you not only need talent but also a good deal of luck.
Don’t let this put you off. If you truly want to write, you will write and nothing will stop you.
